This edition of PUZZLE JAZZ introduces a game called IT’S HIP TO BE SQUARE! The object is to complete a series of “Magic Squares” in which the sums of the numbers in each row, column and diagonal are the same. The puzzles come in three levels of difficulty: SMOOTH (easiest), SWING (intermediate) and JAZZ MASTER (most difficult).
The puzzles in the first (SMOOTH) group are 4x4 Magic Squares where each puzzle contains the numbers 1-16 and the Magic Square sum is 34.
The puzzles in the second (SWING) group are 5x5 Magic Squares where each puzzle contains the numbers 1-25 and the Magic Square sum is 65.
Finally, the puzzles in the third (JAZZ MASTER) group are 6x6 Magic Squares where the hidden numbers and the sums of each row, column and diagonal vary by puzzle.
