This wearable miniature sculpture is hand-formed from black porcelain clay by Lynne Tan, a southwest Michigan ceramicist whose works are well-known and can be found in galleries and shops in the area.
The porcelain is lightly sanded after firing so that the surface is smooth to the touch, but without any glaze so that the organic rawness of the clay’s muddy origins can be fully appreciated.
Porcelain pendant hung on faux suede cord, drop length adjustable to approx. 12". Pendant approx. 3.5".
The porcelain can be washed with liquid soap. The porcelain parts can be gently scrubbed with dishwashing liquid and a scrub sponge (apply abrasion, not pressure).
